I had a mix of experiences during my stay. The hotel is in a killer location, close to cool attractions like the Parliament and the Basilica, which made roaming around super easy. The breakfast had a bunch of tasty options, and the rooftop bar is definitely a highlight, though it wasn't open during my visit. On the flip side, my room felt a bit crammed, and I had some hiccups with the shower and quite a few service issues that really left me wanting more.

Rooms

My room was pretty tiny and kind of pushed me against the wall. I expected more space, especially for a 4-star spot. Plus, it didn't feel very fresh or clean.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss. Some staff were helpful, but I had some frustrating moments with slow responses and a lack of concern during a few issues I reported.
Location

The location was a massive win, just a short stroll to major sights like St. Stephen's Basilica and the Hungarian Parliament. I loved being able to walk around the city so easily.
Dining

Breakfast offered a solid variety, with lots of choices that kept me satisfied. The rooftop bar was a nice idea, but it was closed for maintenance while I was there.
Facilities

The gym was small and not well-kept. It could use some serious attention, as I really missed having a decent workout area during my stay.

I had a lovely stay at Hotel President, appreciating its comfortable beds and modern rooms. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore Budapest. However, I found the breakfast experience underwhelming due to understaffing, and the mini bar wasn't restocked, which was a bit inconvenient.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and comfortable, though I found it slightly quirky that there were no outside windows. Instead, mine opened into a central atrium. The beds were plush, allowing me to have restful nights after exploring the city.
Service
7.0
Most staff were friendly and willing to help with my requests. However, I encountered some service issues during breakfast, where it felt understaffed and I had to wait for dishes to be replenished.
Location

The hotel is ideally located, just a short walk from major attractions, making it perfect for sightseeing. The area is peaceful and lined with charming bars and squares.
Dining

I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a good selection, but found some items lacking in quality. I ordered room service, and while it arrived late, they included everything I asked for, which was appreciated.

The wellness area was a nice addition, though it could use some improvements in terms of comfort. I also didn't get to use the rooftop bar, but I've heard great things about the views.

I had mixed feelings during my stay at Hotel President. The location near central attractions was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the generous breakfast buffet offered each morning. However, the heat in the room was unbearable, making it hard to relax. Additionally, I faced some issues with room amenities and staff assistance, which detracted from my experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite small and lacked proper air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable during my stay. The amenities were not as described, and although I was eventually moved to a better room, it took significant effort to resolve the situation.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly, but their unwillingness to address my concerns about the room's heat was disappointing. It felt like they were unhelpful in resolving issues until I brought in British Airways to intervene.
Location

The hotel's location was perfect for exploring Budapest, allowing easy access to major attractions like the Parliament and the Basilica. This aspect of my stay was definitely a highlight.
Dining
6.0
I appreciated the breakfast variety, which included fresh pastries and hot dishes. However, some items were lacking in freshness, like stale bread and overripe fruit, which is something they could improve on.
Facilities

While the wellness center had the potential to be a great feature, it was poorly maintained with out-of-order equipment. The rooftop bar had wonderful views, making it a decent spot for relaxation despite the other facilities.

My stay at Hotel President was a mixed bag. While the location was fantastic — just a short walk to many sights in Budapest — my experience was marred by several inconveniences. The rooftop terrace offered amazing views, but the restaurant and pool access were confusing and limited. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortably hard, making it difficult for me to get a proper night's sleep. 😕🌇

I found the breakfast buffet offered a good variety, but the dining areas felt a bit cramped and crowded. Also, the restaurant was not open at times, so I missed out on trying their meals.
Facilities

While the rooftop bar has stunning views, it closed early, and I struggled with accessing the pool and spa facilities. This was disappointing since I was looking forward to relaxing after my sightseeing adventures.

My stay at Hotel President in Budapest had its ups and downs. The location was super convenient, putting me right near major attractions. However, the room I got wasn’t great—small and felt more like a cubicle. The service was friendly, but I expected more maintenance, especially with issues in the room like a clogged shower drain. Overall, while I appreciated the central location and attentive staff, the room left a lot to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
The room was really small and felt claustrophobic, especially being next to a door in the internal courtyard. I had issues with the air conditioning too.
Service
6.0
The staff was nice and helpful, but some aspects of the service fell short, like managing requests efficiently.
Location

The hotel has a prime location, just a short walk away from the Parliament and Basilica, which made exploring the city a breeze.
Dining

Breakfast was decent but not as impressive as I hoped—some options were gone when I arrived.
Facilities

The gym and spa facilities felt outdated and not well-maintained, which was disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to using them.
